Christmas Parade

Here are some pics from the parade tonight. It got rather chilly outside. I almost missed Cody, he was in a different spot this time. He said it was because there weren't that many people there. And his school band was one of the first to go. So he was finished way before the other two even got started. Because Samie was a few trucks in front of Casey and Casey was several cars in front of Santa, and we know that Santa is the end of the parade. So I had to drive from one end of town after the kids passed me up to the other end to pick Casey and Eric up. I had to take the back roads because the main ones were blocked for the parade. But after I circled around one back road, I got to where I was going.
Well, I must go, so that I can get two kids in bed before school tomorrow. :)

Visit at the In-Laws :)

This weekend we went to my husbands brothers house and visited with him and his wife and kids. We had Thanksgiving a little late. And we had an awesome steak for dinner on Saturday. It had been awhile since I got to spend time with Rich, Elizabeth, Caitlin, and Jared. We had a good visit. We spent the night last night and went to church with them this morning. The kids had a good time playing in the yard. Felt like spring outside, makes me dread winter temperatures even more.
Any way, thought I would post some pictures of the kids climbing in the trees in the front yard. I remember climbing trees, now I wouldn't be able to get down without hurting myself. :)
Both Caitlin and Jared are growing so fast, it was good to see them again. And I got Jared to tell me what he wanted Aunt Melva and Uncle Eric to get him for Christmas.
I got to tell you this before I forget. When Caitlin was younger. She couldn't quite get out that I was Aunt and not Uncle. So she called me Uncle Melva. For a matter of fact Rich still calls me that. I just thought that it was cute.
I must go now. I got to get up early in the morning and hopefully tomorrow night I will have pictures of the kids from the parade tomorrow night. All 3 are in it.

Happy Late Birthday Matthew!!

On Thanksgiving Day we gave Matthew his presents for his birthday. His b-day was the day before. But because it was Turkey day we didn't have cake and ice cream. But Sheryl had made a really good pumpkin pie or 2 or 3 or 4. :) It really was good. We all had a great meal and enjoyed a friendly game of Phase 10. My aunt Debbie and her husband Jerry came in, so it was nice to see them. Eric deep fried the turkey. Which I had to trick him to make sure it was cooked on time. For the past few years we have had him deep fry the turkey and he doesn't have it cooked until everybody is almost finished eating. So this year I told him we were eating an hour earlier. And we were the first ones up to Norma's house. Which is a real shocker for those who know us. We are late for everything.
Matthew got the general lee for his birthday to race DJ's remote control truck.
Happy Late Birthday Matthew, and don't worry I won't tell everyone your 40. OOPS!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Just wanted to put a quick post today. Just to let everyone know that I am thankful for them. A list of what I am thankful for.
1. For God's Loving Grace and for the many miracles we see that he does on a daily basis.
2. For family who are near and far. The love you get from family is from the heart and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
3. For friends who are near and dear. For without friends a person wouldn't go far, for their encouragement means alot.
4. For the ability to be alive and well.
5. For Answered prayers.

I love you one and all. Hope that you find many things that you are thankful for, and hopefully you are thankful more than the one day of the year. I am thankful for many other things, Like my kids, my husband, my mom, my job, the ability to work, the roof over my head, to have food on the table, and etc.

To much to list. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Don't forget to give Thanks.

Congrats to Monica and Robbie

Guess What? She is finally here!!! Born Tuesday September 14th weighing in at 6 lbs and 6.8 oz. Mckenzie made her debut to the world. Isn't she just beautiful. I just love little babies. Makes me want another. Nah. :)
Monica didn't want any pics of herself taken. So most of them on here are of Mckenzie. There is one of the proud father, and trust me Mckenzie is already showing that she is a daddy's girl. She started crying when I was in the room(and no I didn't make her cry) and Robbie picked her up and she just calmed down, like my daddy has me now. But then she ate soon after that too. Don't worry Monica she will be Mommy's Little Angel Too.
Monica and Robbie you are very blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl, cherish her and I will be there to take lots of pics! :)

Babies are sprinkles of stardust, little angels sent from above
A message from the heavens to remind us of their innocence and love.
A baby brings tremendous joy, but brings a lot of tears
To be a parent is the greatest gift and the memories last for years.

Casey's Trophy

Last night we went to a banquet for Casey's cheerleading team, and of course the football players. They gave all of the kids a trophy, a nice jacket, and a little back pack tote. As you can see the trophy is almost bigger than she is. She was so excited about getting a trophy. She got up this morning and just stared at it as if it wouldn't be there when she got home. She also wore her new jacket to school. Then when we got home, she told me, "Mommy, I am going to go look at my trophy to see if it has fallen."
So cute and rotten at the same time.
I think that it is good that all of the kids got the same size trophy and got a little something for just participating during the season. Even though our Midget team did not win, the Peewee did, so all four teams got the same thing.

Veteran's Day

This past Saturday, the town had a parade to honor the vets. I took some pics of Casey at the little place they have in town. The mural was painted by a local artist and I think that it is great to have a picture in honor of the veterans up all the time. Cody of course was in the parade. And the poor boy, every parade he has been in the past several years, it has been cold outside and rainy, so him and a few other boys dressed accordingly. Well, they had sweats under their band uniforms, and they got sooooo hot. Cause it was a very nice day for a parade Saturday.
I do want to say that I wish that I could have posted this on Saturday, but I got busy.
I just want to thank all of our vets for everything they have done for the USA for without them, there is no telling where we would be. Love you guys and God Bless.

Sorry It Has Been A While

This month so far has extremely busy for me. I drove to Atlanta, GA on Nov 1st. It wasn't that bad of a drive, but it was my first time visiting Atlanta. So I ooohed and aaaaahed the whole time we were there. We stayed in a hotel right across from the airport so I took some pictures from my room window. The streak in the one picture is a plane taking off. I didn't use a flash so my camera was gathering all the light. cool huh?
Any way I was in Atlanta for a conference/class. And they fed us well. I went with a co-worker, Steve. He is the one that took the picture of Atlanta in the day. For I was driving. He didn't do a bad job. The one at night is taken at a restaurant that the company had catered for us to eat at. The parkway something or other. Beautiful view, but it was cold outside that night. Good night for pics though, for it was clear.
After I returned on the 3rd of November, I had an arts and craft show to set up for, for the weekend. That didn't go well. We just didn't have the business.
I have some more posts for tonight, to try and catch up on local events.
