The Little Mermaid Party!!!

Okay the pics are here!!! These are just a few pics of Casey's B-day party on Saturday. As you can tell we had alot of kids there. 2 of them are not in the picture. For we couldn't get them to participate. :) But I counted and we had 16 or 17 kids there. Great turn out. The picture with the frame and other things is the invitation, autographed photo frame, coloring book made by me for the goody bag, a blow out thingy, and the girls got a belt clip, the boys got a cars disk launcher. I didn't have any of those left to take a picture of. The boy with Casey in front of the little mermaid is the same boy that brought her the flowers before valentine's day. That is Robbie. (her boyfriend) The other little boy is Trae, a girl I work with little boy, and he really likes Casey and wants to be her boyfriend. :) Young Love, it is so cute!! :)
I did decorate the cake, I can not do faces. But other than the horrible face I think that it looked exactly like Ariel. NOT!
The other little plate with the Ariel Candle, that was Casey's personal Icing. She won't eat cake, so I make icing for her cake, and the left over I put by itself just for her. Aren't I a nice Mommy?!
And if you look closely at the tshirt in the top pic of Casey, you will notice a familiar picture, Sheryl made this for Casey. The Whatever girls on a tshirt of her own. :)
It seemed that the kids had a really good time. It was loud, but we let them play outside on the patio for a little while, that seemed to help the hearing problem in the building. Casey got lots of stuff. She got 7 movies, one being the Wizard of Oz on dvd. I can't wait to watch it with her this weekend. She has never seen it. And it use to be Cody's favorite movie. His favorite character was the witch. He would run around on his broom, saying.... I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too! and he would curl his finger like the witches and everything. She also got several barbie movies, so now her collection is complete until they come out with a new one. She got all kinds of little mermaid stuff. I got a barbie doll little mermaid to put on the table for decoration. But I talked her into putting that with her collectors barbie dolls in the curio downstairs.
Well, I hope all is well with everyone, enjoy the pics. See you later!!!

Cody's Broken Arm

Here are some pics of Cody in his new cast. He was supposed to have it put on yesterday but due to circumstances at the doctor's office, we had to schedule it for today with a different doctor. He picked out a blue cast and I got to be the first to sign it. He said that it was uncomfortable but I told him he would have to get use to it. He gets to have it taken off the day after his birthday. What a birthday present!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASEY!!!!!!!

Today Casey turned 6 years old. It is so hard for me to believe that my little baby girl is 6 already. I remember the day that she was born. I was put in the hospital 2 1/2 weeks early and they had induced my labor. My mom had left because the doctor said that it would be the next day before she would actually be born. Well, Mom had been gone about an hour maybe a little longer and the doctor had just finished a c-section on another patient. He came in and checked on me, went out to the nurses desk, ate 2 slices of pizza and then came back into the room I was in to tell me that he was going to go ahead and do a c-section because the baby was flatlining( Casey's heartrate wasn't increasing with the contractions). So little Miss Casey Paige was born at 10:02 p.m. As soon as the doctor took her out of my stomach I got to give her a kiss. And for her to be early she was a chubby little thing. She came into the world weighing 8 pounds and 2 ounces!! and she was 21 inches long.
That first sight of her was just great and mesmerizing. she was so beautiful. I didn't get to see her again until the next evening, because she was under the oxygen tent and wasn't wanting to breathe outside the tent. So when they moved me to a regular room they took my bed into the nursery so that I could see her.
The funny thing about the whole thing was that my baby shower was scheduled for that Saturday. Mom had given me a baby shower with Cody 2 1/2 months before he was due and I was in the hospital on the day of his baby shower with early contractions and labor that had to be stopped. So when it was Casey's turn(7 yrs later) Mom decided that she would throw the shower a few weeks before my due date. Well the shower was scheduled for that Saturday and I had Casey that Friday. So again I missed the shower but this time was to have Casey. Mom said that she would never throw me another one so I better not have any more kids. :)
Casey didn't come out from under the oxygen tent until around midnight the following Sunday night Monday morning. So the first time I actually got to hold her was on Monday morning and Sheryl was there. She was the 2nd person to hold her after she was taken out of the Oxygen tent. Eric was the first to hold her because he got to carry her to the nursery.
And now to think that all of that was 6 years ago. Where does the time go? Why do they grow so fast?
Casey will be having her Little Mermaid Party tomorrow with her friends over. I will be posting pics from that tomorrow night. Tonight, her dad and me are taking her to dinner at Ryan's so they will sing Happy Birthday to her.
Cody is at camp for the weekend.
So I again say HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASEY PAIGE!! I LOVE YOU!! I tried reposting the pics.

My President's Day!!

I thought that I would tell you about how my Monday has been. First off this morning around 5am or so, Casey gets up and is sick at her stomach. I am thinking, well maybe something didn't agree with her. Then at 6am this morning she was up again, I then when and felt her head. She felt like she was on fire. Her head was just hot as could be, but when I took her temperature it was a little above normal. She threw up a few more times this morning. So I called in to work to stay home with her, because I can't send her to daycare if she is sick and I wouldn't want to. We laid around this morning watching cartoons, she drank Sprite and ate some salt and vinegar chips to settle her tummy. The kids were out of school anyway because it is President's day. I told Cody to go feed the dog. And on the way down the backyard with the empty bowl. He slid on some ice, snow. He fell and hurt his arm. Well, I told him to rest and that it would be okay. After about 10 or 15 minutes he was still complaining that his arm hurt. So I got ready and took him to the Emergency Room. And I tried to scan the xray but it didn't work out. So I will just have to tell you, He broke his arm. Close to the wrist. The distal radius has what they call a buckle fracture. So the ER physician put a splint on his arm and Cody will have a cast put on Thursday morning. Poor thing, but he hasn't taken anything for pain. So just pray that his arm heals fast and heals right. And that Cody will be patient to wait for it to heal. :)

New Setting

When I talked to Weezy this weekend, she said that she had problems commenting on my blog. So I have put it to where anyone can comment, but I will have to approve it before it is posted. So please, if you comment anonynmously, leave your name. Thanks, and we will see if this helps Weezy comment.

Rich's Surprise B-day Party!!

This past Saturday, we all went to Eric's brothers house for Rich's surprise birthday party. He was the big 40. It had started to snow when we left here on Saturday. It wasn't snowing to bad down at Rich's house. Weezy had fixed alot of good food for us all to eat. And they had several of their friends and their friends kids there. So the kids had alot of fun too. Except for Cody, and the girls kept taking his clipboard and pencil and hiding it from him. It was funny, but he was getting a little upset. As we stayed at the party, the roads back home got worse, so mom told us it would be better if we stayed at Rich's house for the night. So we got to surprise Rich for his birthday, and he was surprised. And then we got to spend some time with all of them. On Sunday morning we were going to leave early enough to come home and go to church, but they cancelled church due to the weather conditions outside. So we stayed at Rich and Weezy's until the roads had time to clear and then we headed home.
The kids had a good time. As you can tell they piled themselves up on top of one another. They would take turns on who was on the bottom. I think at one time Casey was on the bottom, but that didn't last long. And then I played around with my camera trying to figure out how to take sepia toned pics and I figured it out. I like this picture of Casey. She is just so cute and pretty. It is hard for me to believe that she is turning 6 in a matter of days. I will post more on that later.
In the mean time. Everyone be safe and stay warm and I pray that God keeps you healthy during the rest of the cold days till Spring!!!!

Some Baby Shower Decorations

Last weekend I had to do some decorations for Monica's sister-in-law's baby shower. So I thought that I would show some of the decorations that I did for that. I got the idea for the one from the Woman's World Magazine. My mom and aunt Nunu found it and thought that I may be able to use it. It is the one with the pacifier in it's mouth.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!

This past Saturday was my mom's birthday. And on her birthday I helped her finish wallpapering my kitchen. I will post pics of the finished wall soon. I still need to get some things out of the way. (like a cabinet) We had her a birthday dinner on Sunday since she was off on Sunday. I fixed spaghetti and a salad and Sheryl made a wonderful chocolate covered cherry cake. mmmmmmm. Mom got a sewing machine for her birthday, a cell phone, a carnation plant, pens, a sweater, and a picture of her kids, their spouses, and grandkids in a frame.
For the most part we had a really good time and the food was really good. Especially the cake, but don't tell Sheryl :)
Now also this weekend Mom and Casey had a conversation on the way to DJ's house. And here is how it went.
Casey: Vivi is ur husband dead?
Vivi: No.
Casey: Did him get anutter girlfriend and leave?
Vivi: (not wanting to explain divorce and why things just don't work) she said, Yes.
Casey: Well, at least you still have your job.
Now when she got up to my brother's house, DJ asked her if she missed them. She said no. DJ asked her why she was up there. Casey said to watch TV because we didn't have cable.
As everyone knows Groundhog Day has come and past. And the groundhog here did not see his shadow. But Casey will argue with you and say he did see his shadow and that we will have 6 more weeks of bad weather. And that everyone else is wrong.

Now before I end this post I do want to send another Happy Birthday out to my Uncle Dennie, whose birthday is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIE!!!!! :)
