Deer Trail Campground

For Memorial Day weekend we decided to go camping. I was on CT call so we had to go somewhere kind of close to my work just in case. Well it just so happens there are a few campgrounds near work, but Deer Trail was really nice. They had flat spots for tent, campers. A swimming pool that is heated but it still felt cold. There was a creek in behind our camper, that the kids could play in. There is a fishing pond there too.
We had a really good time, hate that Samie didn't go with us but the rest of us got to enjoy our time together. The campground has a Cowboy Church Service on Saturday night that we went to, and it was a good service and outdoors. Then when it starts to get dark the owner does a hayride on the mountain where they are clearing off for more camping areas. We did the hayride on Saturday night and Sunday night. Casey met everyone at the campground. Before we left on Monday every kid there(no matter the age) knew Casey's name.
Hope that everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!!!!!!

Cody's Prom Pics

Here are a few pics from Cody's prom last Thursday evening. The girl is Cody's girlfriend, Savannah, and the girl in the bottom pic with them is their friend Leah. They seemed to have a good time and afterward Cody, Savannah, Casey and I met Leah and her parents at the Dragon Palace to get a bite to eat. Doesn't Cody just look Handsome all dressed up?

Cal-la-pitter

A few weeks ago Casey was telling me how she wanted to raise a butterfly, and how it grows from a callapitter. She said that they start as a callapitter and then they grow into the butterfly. Any way, I got tickled at how she was saying callapitter and anytime that we would say it the correct way, she would correct us.
On to the picture. We went camping this past weekend and as we were packing everything up, Casey looked on the back of the camper and says...... Oh look it's a baby callapitter!!! So I took a picture of it just for Casey. Now she actually wanted to bring it home and keep it for her pet.

Casey Chipmunk

I hope this does right. This is Casey singing chipmunk style tonight at the school. She is with her friend Mckenzie. So I hope that you can play the video to listen to her. I have more posts to do, but it will have to wait until tomorrow night because it is getting late and I have to be at work early tomorrow.

Just catchin' up

The picture of Eric and Sam is at Sam's prom/spring dance, Sam actually met her boyfriend there but this is the pic that I wanted to post. Doesn't she just look so pretty?!?!
The pic of Sheryl was taken at my brothers for Eric's b-day dinner. She was showing us what she could do with her tongue!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mother's out there. This was taken after we got home, and before it poured the rain. I had to get some pics of me with the kids. Samie was with her mom today so she isn't in the pics with me. I am thankful to God that he gave me 3 wonderful kids to love and that I have the ability to make memories with them.

Now this mother's day, there are a few mothers that have touched my life and the lives of my kids in a special way. They may no longer be with us here on earth, but they will always be in our hearts and I know I will get to see them again one day. Those special women are: Mawmaw Kester, who loved all of her grand- and great-grand kids with all of her heart.(and her kids), Nunu, who was my second mom and influenced my life greatly. Bonnie, my mom-in-law for without her I wouldn't be married to Eric, and had her moments. I love them all and miss them, but they had the best mother's day ever, they got to spend it with Jesus.
Hope everyone had a blessed mother's day and I hope you cherish every moment you have with your children and with your mothers.
