Just an update

I haven't posted anything for a while, so I thought that I would update everyone on what's going on in my neck of the woods. It seems that Nunu and me caught the same sinus bug. I wish that we could have killed it instead of catching it. Both of us are on medication and seem to slowly be getting better. I know that the people around me have been a little happier because I have lost most of my voice. :)
Last week I pulled a few 3rd shifters so that I could do some things during the daytime and so that I could have Friday off. My mom came over Friday afternoon so that we could take the wallpaper in my kitchen down. Now the wallpaper that was in my kitchen had to come from the 70s and Mom found me some that was alot more modern and not so yellow and orange. Well, as we are taking down the wallpaper, which has been up since before we bought the house, we were a little weary of what we would find behind it. For the original part of this house was built in the 1950s. All of it seemed to come down okay, and all we found around the counter was that they had use contact paper for wallpaper at some point before the wallpaper. Then came time to move the refrigerator, which has not been moved since we moved in. We took down the wallpaper and there was a hole in the bottom part of the wall, and the middle of the wall seemed wet looking. Well coming out of the hole looked like a pile of dirt, so the first thing I do is call Eric to let him know that we are going to have to repair a wall. Now to make a long story short, it wasn't dirt falling out of the hole. The wood in behind the sheetrock had rotted and was falling down. I took some pictures which I will post before and after pics when we are done. The wood had rotted all the way to the outside siding. There wasn't any insulation or anything. So now we have repaired the inside part of the wall, and just need to finish the new wallpaper and then when the weather clears we will be remodeling the outside of the house so we can insulate and definitely replace the wood in that particular wall. I am just glad we found it when we did or one day we would have came home and walked into a kitchen that had the ceiling caved in and the wall on top of the refrigerator.
I will post more when we get the inside wall completely done.

Me and Casey decided to use the photo booth on my laptop and these are a few of the pics we took. I thought that it would be something different to post and something everyone could have fun looking at. I won't post the ones that we took at work even though they were really funny. I don't want to make anyone mad at me. :)

Just a little note....

I haven't taken any pictures lately. I must be feeling bad or something. :)
I am mostly posting a request right now. Let me tell you the story first. I want to say yesterday but I may be wrong on the exact day. Anyway, the past couple of weeks, a friend that Samie grew up with had gotten extremely sick. He had athsma and ended up getting a type of pneumonia. His lungs were not strong enough to fight the pneumonia. I hope I am telling this right. He ended up going into a coma. Yesterday he past away. He was only 12 years old. My request is that you pray for his parents, his friends, and his family. This has to be one of the hardest things a parent could possibly go through. And I couldn't begin to imagine. But it is hard on his friends too. Samie grew up with Austin. They lived really close to each other and went to school together. At 12 it is hard to understand why things happen. It is hard for someone my age to understand why things happen. I do know that God has his reasons and only he can bring comfort in this time of need for this family.
There is so much tragedy in the world right now. Just this week a 5 year old girl died, because she was being abused. I don't know any of the details of how. I just know that her dad is being brought up on charges.
All I can think about is my little girl is 5, and I couldn't imagine anyone hurting her that way. It makes me sad to think that a parent could hurt their child or any child for that matter.
So give your child a hug and kiss and let them know you will always try to protect them and not harm them.

5 Going on Teen!:)

I have to tell you a story about little miss Casey. Ever since she started day care, she has had a boyfriend. Luckily for me she doesn't know exactly what it means to have a "boyfriend". Since she started kindergarden this past year she got a new boyfriend. His name is Robbie. Now we have a friend named Robbie and his little boy is named Robbie. And then there is Monica and Robbie.
Anyway, this little boy is cute. He has blonde hair and wears glasses. And he calls Casey all of the time. Leaves her messages on the answering machine if we aren't home and everything. Well, yesterday after church we all went out to eat with Norma and then Eric, me and the kids went to Walmart. After Eric, Casey, and Cody got home, Casey's Boyfriend Robbie calls. And then it wasn't long after that his dad brought him over to the house. And Robbie gave the flowers in the pic above to Casey. There was a balloon attached to it too. But Casey said "Thanks Robbie" and went to take off to go color in her room. Eric stopped her and told her that she needed to tell Robbie bye. Then I came home about 30 minutes later to hear the story of the flowers. I think that it is so cute at that age. And it was sweet for him to bring Casey flowers.
The next picture is of Casey on the phone tonight. She was talking to one of her girlfriends. She gets more phone calls than I do and she hasn't even turned into a teenager yet. What have I got to look forward to!?!?! :)
Another quick story: The other day Casey was talking about food and eating. And she said that she was going to start eating healthy, but she wasn't going to eat broccoli or any vegetables. So I am not sure what healthy eating is to her.
I just wish that she would eat vegetables. She will occasionally eat green beans or corn or carrots, but that is the extent of it.

Long Time No Blog...

Sorry about taking so long to update my blog. But I have a really good excuse. My computer was having a bad few weeks. I put Mcafee virus protector on it and it took forever for me to load any pages on the internet. So I had to delete some of the Mcafee so that I could at least begin to get on the internet. But I decided to go ahead and purchase me a new laptop, so I got a Mac.
Now enough with the excuses of why I have not blogged in a while.
After Christmas DJ and Renisa brought the three kids over and we took some pics of all of the kids and of their family together. As you can see they included the newest edition to their family, Chili, he has been a part of their family for several months.
The one picture is of Matt by hisself. That was the best one of him, he kept making faces every time I told him to smile. Him and Lacy both would force a smile.

The week after Christmas was busy for me even though I was off work. On that Wednesday little miss Roxy had to go to the vet to get spaded. That was her Christmas present. Just kidding, we got her some toys and some rawhide bones. The picture of Roxy is that weekend after her visit with the vet. She is 6 months old now. She still likes to jump on you alot though.
For New Year's we rang it in at my brother DJ's house playing cards until 3am. It was fun though. I spent the weekend before New Year's trying to get Cody's wireless internet card working on his computer, never did get it to work. Then I called this past weekend and talked to our internet provider and I was on the phone with them for almost 2 hours and still couldn't get it to work. So I think that it is the card I bought.
