Just a short video and I hope that you enjoy it. She started out with wheels in her heely's. Have a good week!!!!

My Laundry Room

This past 4th of July I slept until 4:30pm because I worked the night before. Well, I went to wash some clothes and learned that my washer was on the fritz....it wasn't spinning. And do you know how hard it is to get clothes dry that didn't spin. You don't want to find out. Anyway, since the washing machine was broke and Eric took it to the garage, I decided to give my laundry room a fresh look. So Friday, we went to buy the paint at Lowes, which my mom looked and they had a can of paint that was mix matched for $5, and it looked like it was a cream color, which was close to what I wanted. (I wanted a pale yellow) And mom also found the wall border I wanted to put in there and it was on sale too. So I got a great deal that evening.
So Saturday I get up and I start taking down the old wall border which was so light you didn't really know that it was up. I had to use a scraper because it was up there so long. After which, I began to paint. Well I had a little helper and I wish I would have taken pictures of her when she was done. I think that she had more on her shorts than she did the walls. But she did good for the most part and I only had to clean a *LITTLE* paint off of the wood work. But she liked the work. Anyway the color you can't see that well in the pics but it is like a banana cream color and is really close to what I was wanting, and it matches the wall border great!!! Mom came up after she got off work that day and I fixed supper and we put the wall border up in about 20 minutes.
On Monday, we went to get me a new washer, for we found out it would cost us about $300 or more to get mine fixed. And there were some other issues with the washer that we had. So since Lowes had the appliances 10% off and the last day being Monday, we went and picked me out a new one. We ended up getting a top loader that is like a front loader and it holds 3 loads of clothes at the same time. It sounds like a little car running. Any way just wanted to show some pics of my laundry rooms makeover. Hope all have a great week. God bless!!!

Camping at Douthat, Virginia

We are back from our camping trip. We actually got back on Sunday, but I am just now getting the chance to post some pics and tell about them. We left last Thursday and went to Douthat State Park in Millsboro, Virginia. We went with My BIL and SIL and their kids. Also there were 5 other families of Rich and Elizabeth's friends. We had a good time. We went swimming at the beach at the lake. We did get some rain. Which the picture of the beach without anyone on it was taken right after a heavy rain storm. Isn't it pretty? Samie took her friend Erica with her and the three of us went hydrocycling on Saturday before the rain. While we were hydrocycling, Eric and Casey went Kayaking. They had fun. The Hydrocycles were alot easier than we thought they would be. The lake was kind of small though. We went fishing one night, didn't even get a nibble, I did take some pics of the fishing hole though. :) Some of the families got together and we had a shrimp feast, with some other items. And we gathered around the fire to hear Andy and Rich play guitar and sing. We had lots of fun and hope to get to do it again soon.
Cody wasn't with us for he was still at Boyscout camp. He did come back home on Saturday and stayed with Sheryl for the rest of the weekend. He said he got sick off of the food they were serving. But I think that it was because he seen how they made the eggs. (from a bag) I probably would have gotten sick too. Thanks to those of you who kept him in your prayers while he was off to camp. He did lose about 10 + pounds while he was at camp though. Only because they didn't feed him junk food and he didn't get to eat all day.
I hope everyone has a great week and a wonderful 4th of July!!!! God bless!!!

More Balloons!!!

Boy if this isn't alot of pics. :) Last night Casey, Lacy, and I all went to the Balloon Glow in Wytheville last night. It was the start of Chataqua. One of the girls I work with, Diann, told me that Ed who I knew from Mobile MRI unit had a hot air balloon that he takes to the Balloon Glow. So I figured since we couldn't catch the moon on Wednesday night at it's largest size( whole other story) that we would catch the balloons. So we got there before they started setting up, and we got to watch them set up the balloon from start to finish. After that Lacy got to go up in the balloon and then I got to go up in the balloon. Some of the pics taken of the girls and the other balloons were while I was up in the air. It was a very enjoyable night and I took all kinds of pics. This isn't even close to half. I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend. See you later!!! Enjoy the pics of the balloons as they were set up and then the after GLOW!!!!!
Lacy Birthday and Father's Day

These are pics from Father's Day and Lacy's Birthday. We had a cook out at DJ's house with steak, pasta salad, ice cream cake, and all kinds of goodies. Of course Cody was gone to camp so he wasn't in the pics with us. But he was having fun at camp and is still enjoying himself. I talked to him today and I think that he realized the meaning of money. He was talking about what all he had spent some of his money on and mostly it was on food to eat the first week he was there because they went out to eat a few times. And his words were..."food is expensive" to which we told him when we go out we pay for 4 to 5 meals and he only had to pay for one. I am so proud of him. :)
