Our Beach Trip

We went to the beach at the beginning of this month, and here are just a few pics from our trip. It was so hard to decide which ones to post. We had a good time at the beach, we went swimming, shopping, some site seeing, DJ and Matthew and the boys went to ride go-Karts, we went to the waterpark, the guys went fishing, and so much more. The day that we decided to swim in the ocean, I got brushed by a jellyfish, and let me tell you, it stung. So we went back to the house. Eric got bit by a fish, while trying to get the hook out, he didn't realize that those fish aren't like the ones at home, they have teeth. Sheryl about had heat stroke, because it was so hot the day we went to Barefoot Landing. So we took her back to the house to get hydrated and cooled off. Then closer to the end of the week, we had to take Mom to the hospital there, because she was having a pain in her right side. I thought that it may have been a kidney stone or something, since she doesn't have a gallbladder or an appendix. But the doctor's there thought that it was her heart. So she had to be observed through the night. And she was at the hospital most of the next day too. Then we left the next day. Mom is doing fine now. She ended up back in the hospital up here and sent out of town for a heart cath. Showed everything was good, and that she didn't have a heart attack and that her heart was in pretty good shape, except for a small blockage in one of the arteries, nothing to worry about though. So they told her to quit smoking and sent us home. I am so thankful that the Lord was with her during that time. Because the EKG at the cardiologist office had showed that she had a heart attack. So the power of prayer is a great thing.

Now off to a different note. And this is just so I don't have to post this separate. I am asking for prayer for Samie, my step daughter. She is having some problems, with her heart racing. They think that it may be from her blood pressure being low, but they aren't for sure. She has to wear a heart monitor for a month, to see if they can find out what is going on. She has lost a lot of sleep, because her heart pounding so fast is waking her up and making her chest hurt. I just ask that you pray that she will have a healing or that the doctors can find out why and fix it. Thanks. God Bless!!!!

Casey's new do

I got my hair cut yesterday and dyed. I got my hair cut really short so I didn't have to use even half of the bottle of dye. So we used some on Cody's hair, which you can't really tell, and we also put a small streak down the front of Casey's hair. Which is pictured here. Casey just loves it. Well, I am not sure when I will be posting next because we are leaving to go to the beach tomorrow morning and I don't know if we will have internet service or not.
Any way, I will post when we get back!!!! Hope all have a good weekend!!!!

Matthew's 9th Birthday

We celebrated Matt's birthday on Sunday. Here are some pics from that.

Family Reunion 2008

Our family reunion was last weekend and here are a few pics of everyone (mostly the kids) I got one of Reagan, Casey, and Lacy and seeing them together reminded me of how it used to be with Me, DeAnna, and Trish. Of course Reagan missed Isabella, because they are closer in age than she is with Casey and Lacy. Anyway, there were several family members missing due to reasons that could not be changed. We missed you guys. Hope that you can make it next year.

I took this video after church this evening. Sheryl bought the hula hoop for herself but like me was unable to get it to work. :) So she gave it to Casey since she learned how to do it this week in VBS. Just a short video and I hope that you enjoy it. She started out with wheels in her heely's. Have a good week!!!!

My Laundry Room

This past 4th of July I slept until 4:30pm because I worked the night before. Well, I went to wash some clothes and learned that my washer was on the fritz....it wasn't spinning. And do you know how hard it is to get clothes dry that didn't spin. You don't want to find out. Anyway, since the washing machine was broke and Eric took it to the garage, I decided to give my laundry room a fresh look. So Friday, we went to buy the paint at Lowes, which my mom looked and they had a can of paint that was mix matched for $5, and it looked like it was a cream color, which was close to what I wanted. (I wanted a pale yellow) And mom also found the wall border I wanted to put in there and it was on sale too. So I got a great deal that evening.
So Saturday I get up and I start taking down the old wall border which was so light you didn't really know that it was up. I had to use a scraper because it was up there so long. After which, I began to paint. Well I had a little helper and I wish I would have taken pictures of her when she was done. I think that she had more on her shorts than she did the walls. But she did good for the most part and I only had to clean a *LITTLE* paint off of the wood work. But she liked the work. Anyway the color you can't see that well in the pics but it is like a banana cream color and is really close to what I was wanting, and it matches the wall border great!!! Mom came up after she got off work that day and I fixed supper and we put the wall border up in about 20 minutes.
On Monday, we went to get me a new washer, for we found out it would cost us about $300 or more to get mine fixed. And there were some other issues with the washer that we had. So since Lowes had the appliances 10% off and the last day being Monday, we went and picked me out a new one. We ended up getting a top loader that is like a front loader and it holds 3 loads of clothes at the same time. It sounds like a little car running. Any way just wanted to show some pics of my laundry rooms makeover. Hope all have a great week. God bless!!!

Camping at Douthat, Virginia

We are back from our camping trip. We actually got back on Sunday, but I am just now getting the chance to post some pics and tell about them. We left last Thursday and went to Douthat State Park in Millsboro, Virginia. We went with My BIL and SIL and their kids. Also there were 5 other families of Rich and Elizabeth's friends. We had a good time. We went swimming at the beach at the lake. We did get some rain. Which the picture of the beach without anyone on it was taken right after a heavy rain storm. Isn't it pretty? Samie took her friend Erica with her and the three of us went hydrocycling on Saturday before the rain. While we were hydrocycling, Eric and Casey went Kayaking. They had fun. The Hydrocycles were alot easier than we thought they would be. The lake was kind of small though. We went fishing one night, didn't even get a nibble, I did take some pics of the fishing hole though. :) Some of the families got together and we had a shrimp feast, with some other items. And we gathered around the fire to hear Andy and Rich play guitar and sing. We had lots of fun and hope to get to do it again soon.
Cody wasn't with us for he was still at Boyscout camp. He did come back home on Saturday and stayed with Sheryl for the rest of the weekend. He said he got sick off of the food they were serving. But I think that it was because he seen how they made the eggs. (from a bag) I probably would have gotten sick too. Thanks to those of you who kept him in your prayers while he was off to camp. He did lose about 10 + pounds while he was at camp though. Only because they didn't feed him junk food and he didn't get to eat all day.
I hope everyone has a great week and a wonderful 4th of July!!!! God bless!!!
