Happy Mother's Day!!!!

A mother's arms are made of tenderness, and children sleep soundly in them. -Victor Hugo.
Just wanting to send out a Happy Mother's Day to My Mom and to Norma who has been like a second mom to me. I also want to remember a couple of mom's today. For they helped to mold their children who have helped to mold me and my kids. In the top picture you have My Grandmother with my Mom at my first wedding. My Mawmaw passed away a few years ago, but not a day goes by that I don't think of her, and how blessed I am to have had her in my life and my kids life. Even though Casey is only 6, she did get to know Mawmaw. For that I am thankful.
The next picture is of my Mom with me and my brother as little kids. I am pretty close to my mom. She has been there for me no matter what decision I make and she is like my best friend. I am very blessed to have a mom that I can talk to about anything and who is there for me. I try to talk to my mom everyday. Sometimes I go a couple of days. I Love You Mom!!:)
Then there is a pic of me with Cody and Casey. I don't have one of me with all three kids. I am very blessed to have 3 loving children who light up my days and nights. I am not saying that motherhood is easy, trust me the kids make it a challenge. But I am very blessed to have my kids. I love you kids.
Next is a picture of Norma with Cody. Now Norma has been like a second mom to me. Even though we have had our argurments, but that was a long time ago. She has still been there for me and my kids. And she is like a grandma to my kids. So I wish her a Happy Mother's Day to. And I keep praying for her healing. So far we have had good news. But that is another post. :) Love you Norma!!
And the last picture is of my Mother-In-Law Bonnie. She passed away last year. Without her I would not be blessed with my Husband, so to that I am thankful to have had her as a Mother-In-Law. She loved her grandkids very much. And pictured with her is one of her granddaughters, Caitlin.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. Even to those who aren't mothers, but mother the people they are around by helping God to mold them.

Samie's First Prom

This past Friday night was Samie's first prom. Now she is only in 6th grade, but none the less it was her first. Cody didn't go to his 6th grade one. Anyway, here is the cool thing about this prom. She is wearing the prom dress that I wore to my 8th grade prom with Eric(Samie's dad) is that not cool? To think that Norma(Nunu) has held on to that dress for that many years. It was special for me to see her wearing it. She wore a heeled shoe that had silver on it and was clear across the foot. Kind a like a Cinderella sandal heel looking shoe. :)
She did go stag. She met some friends there and seemed to have enjoyed herself. I still think they grow to fast. All I can think is it won't be long before they are going to their Senior proms. And Casey to her Middle School Prom. Just way to fast.

Cody's First Prom(Spring Dance)

Tonight Cody's school had their Spring Dance(middle school prom). After rushing home from work so that Cody could get ready, I got him at the school about 10 minutes after the dance started. Now here is the shocker..... the vest that he is wearing is the same one that my husband Eric wore at our wedding. And that was 7yrs ago. He is also wearing Eric's shirt and tie. Next year Cody wants to rent a tux. Which is fine with me, as long as he does something with his hair. :)
I just wanted to show off my handsome son on the night of his first prom. Don't they just grow old fast? :)
And isn't Cody just stylin???? :)

Happy Birthday Eric!!!

Tomorrow is my dear "Old" Hubbies birthday. :) So tonight we went to the local Japanese Steak House for Dinner. Here are a few pics from the night. The kids really enjoyed the show. And the food was really good. They even sang happy birthday to Eric and gave him a dessert. So we all had an enjoyable evening.
Happy Birthday Eric, I love you very much!!

Saturday at Longaberger

This past Saturday I went to Dresden, Ohio with a friend of mine Debbie on a bus trip to the Longaberger Homestead. We played bingo on the way and had plenty of snacks too. I didn't take very many pics while I was there, but I was just overwhelmed. They had all kinds of stuff. Clothes, Household things, purses. I just had so much fun looking and shopping. We did go to the factory where they sold some retired baskets and liners and some 2nds baskets. These are the ones that have something minor not right. Maybe the shade or the exact size. And they are over half the price as the others. Anyway, I bought a tall key basket(retired) and I got to get it signed by one of the Longaberger people. It just excited me that I got to have my basket signed. I was going to take a picture but I took my card out of my camera and actually forgot that I was going to do it.
Any way, here are some pics from the homestead and there is a picture of me at Dresden. See you later.

Prayers to VT

I have been behind on my blogging. So since my last blog, the tragedy at Virginia Tech took place. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and their friends. This tragedy hit close to home. My cousin Sheryl sent me this video from youtube that is a dedication from a guy who wrote a song and sings it on the youtube along with video. Just click on the play button. Make sure your volume is on.:)

Easter Sunday

Now to prove that I was not telling tales, I took pictures of my tulips on Easter Sunday, and you can see the snow making then droop. And the forsynthias are all ugly orange. We did go to church on Sunday, and it just so happens that DJ, Renisa, Curtis, and Lacy, David and Tyler, Rebecca and Her mom, all went with us. We had 1 pew full and half of another one. After church DJ and family and Me and Family all went to Ryan's to eat. I got a few pics afterwards so that I would have a picture of Lacy in her dress and Curtis in his purple shirt. The girls just had their jackets off a little while. Long enough to take a few pics. Casey insisted on wearing her Easter flipflops with her Easter dress. Now I have a pic of Samie, but she didn't want me to get one of her with her boot on. It ends up that she didn't break her ankle after all. But they think that it may be a torn ligament or something. She has to wear the boot for a few weeks, and if it doesn't seem like it is healing, she will have to have an MRI. Since the weather was not cooperating with all of us, we decided to not have an egg hunt. I think that we are going to do it this weekend since Matt is in. I hope that everyone had a blessed Easter.

Happy Birthday Sheryl!!!!

Saturday was Sheryl's birthday, so we had dinner at Nunu's house for her b-day. Plus this was also considered Easter Dinner, because Sunday's and Monday's are the days that Norma feels the worse after her treatment. So I had to bake the cake and smash the potatoes for mom, since she couldn't use her arm. Here are some pics from Sheryl's party. Now I also need to mention that it was very cold here on Friday and Saturday. And on Friday night, Saturday morning it snowed about 6 inches. I told mom that I was going to put the eggs in the yard and let the snow hide them for Sunday. :)

Good Friday

Just wanting to catch everyone up on the weekend events. So I will start with Good Friday. To start off with, I had to work Friday. Once I got home, I went and picked Casey up at my brother's house and then before going home I went to the grocery store to get a few things for dinner. Now while I was fixing dinner, my mom's boss calls. He tells me that mom has hurt her arm and asked if I could take her to the ER. Well, I get Eric to finish fixing dinner. It was mostly cook the chicken and heat everything else up. Any way, mom got her arm stuck between a refrigerator and a rack. Her arm was extremely swollen. I was for sure that she broke it. But once at the ER and xrays complete, she ended up just having a bone bruise, which will take about 4 weeks to heal. So they put her in a sling until her arm gets to feeling better.
Now while me and mom are at the Emergency Room, what do you think that my dear old brother is doing. Well let me show you some pics of what him and my cousin David were doing.

More Spring Pics!

When I got home after work today, it was so nice outside. So I decided to take a few pics around my yard. I also decided to take some recent pics of Roxy so that you could see how big she is getting. She is only 9 months old, and the pic of Casey petting her, Casey is standing a little down hill of her, but not much and Roxy is sitting up. So that kind of lets you know how big she is compared to Casey.

Spring is finally here!!!!

As I went to pick Cody up from my Aunt Norma's house, I seen a bunch of daffadils growing in her yard. Lucky thing is I had Cody's camera still in my purse. So this is one of the many pics I took. It is my favorite sign that Spring is finally here!!!

Cody's B-day Dinner

We all went out to eat for Cody's Birthday on Saturday. We went to Ryan's, so that everyone would get a variety. As you can see Cody sat right in front of a window and the sunlight was not kind to the pictures. Now these pics were also taken on Cody's camera. Now the top picture has a little story to it. Last June for Lacy's birthday, My mom(Vivi) asked Cody to make her a birthday card for Lacy, well, she got the card you see in the picture. After she read it she told him that it wasn't exactly what she wanted for her granddaughter who was turning 6, and who wouldn't understand the card. So Vivi saved the card that she actually paid Cody to make, and gave it to him for his birthday. That is why he is making the face. After dinner at Ryan's, Cody had a friend of his over to watch movies and play playstation. The two of them stayed up almost all night. But they had a good time.
Now Cody also got his cast off on Friday. He still has to wear a brace for 2 more weeks. Then Samie broke her ankle yesterday. She had broke the left one a couple of years ago. This time she broke the right one. So I will be posting some pics of Samie in her new cast soon.

Happy Birthday Cody!!!!

Today my baby turned 13, I told someone recently that I didn't feel like I was old enough to have a teenager. So as a way to remember when he was small, I did a little collage on the computer. There is a picture of his 1st birthday. This is the only picture I have of his 1st birthday, and it was messed up. We took a video that day and it is at my aunt Norma's house. There is also a picture of my Pawpaw holding Cody, this was at my cousin Mike and Meredith's wedding. This is the only picture I have of my grandfather holding one of the great grandkids.
The picture of Cody on the phone should have been a sign of things to come, because all he does is talk on the phone and on the internet.
I have to tell you the story behind the one with the birthday cake. When Cody turned 3(this pic) when it was time to blow out the candles, Cody sneezed all over the cake instead. It is funny now to look back at that day, but it was kind of gross when it happened.
And I put the one with him at the wheel of the dune buggy. Cause I know that it will only be 3 more years before he is actually old enough to be behind the wheel of a car. I said old enough, not that I would let him. :)
The hardest thing for me right now is to believe that Cody is 13 today. Time flies, and kids grow way to fast. I can't even hold him in my arms the way that I did when he was little, because he is bigger than me now.
Happy Birthday Cody, even though you are growing taller and becoming closer to becoming an adult, you will always be my baby.
Love, MOM

HAPPY ST PATTY'S DAY!!!!

I hope that the Luck of the Irish is with you for the rest of the day!!!!:)
These pictures were taken yesterday, since St. Patrick's Day was on a Saturday the kids wore their green on Friday. Of course Cody wore his green to the dance on Thursday. But I thought that I would take a couple of pics of them with green on anyway. Good Day to One and All and God Bless!!! By the way Casey gets mad when I call it St. Patty's Day that is why I titled it that way. ;)

All Dressed Up!!

Casey picked out her dress this past Sunday for church, as she does every Sunday. But this particular dress I remember that I had a picture of Samie wearing it. Now the only difference is that Samie is actually a couple of years older than Casey is now when she wore the dress. That is how much bigger Casey is than Samie was. But they both looked very pretty and lady like in the dress. :)
It is hard to remember Cody and Samie that small. Cody will be 13 next Friday. And it is hard for me to see him that much bigger now. They grow up way to fast.
Well, we are almost finished with the kitchen, all we have left is countertops. I am so excited.

Ducks On Ice!!

The week that Cody broke his arm, I think it was on Thursday when these pictures were taken. We were driving on our way home to get something before we could pick Casey up, anyway, we past this house that has a manmade pond and has ducks in the pond. Well, when we looked at the pond we seen that the ducks weren't swimming they were ice skating. :) So when we got to the house, we both grabbed our cameras and whatever I needed to take to Casey when I picked her up off the bus at daycare. And after we picked Casey up, we stopped at the pond so that we could take some pictures of the ducks on the ice. Here are a few of the ones that I took. I will have to get Cody to show you the ones that he took. Or I will post them this weekend. My favorite one is the one that looks like the duck has earmuffs on. I think that it is ice. Now to let you know, we had had a bad cold spell for a while and lots of snow and ice, but this particular day it was in the 50s and it was like that through last weekend. So I am so looking forward to Spring!!!! Enjoy the pics.
